The Mathot family are recently arrived in Australia being originally from Holland (we hope the title is correctly translated…if not we blame Google!) and wanted to personalise their new home immediately with some portraits of their children, Joanneke and Pepgn. Dressed to the nines the children were happy to get into the spirit of it all during the photography session. The Mathot’s were the first to see our new display ‘Tin Print’ and loved it so much immediately decided on one for themselves. It is going to look spectacular and we can’t wait to see it ourselves. Printing directly onto tin/metal makes for a stunning visual statement. They are incredibly light weight but very durable and the colours really ‘zing’. We might just have to hold of letting you know when it is ready so we can display it ourselves – just kidding!

Girls, girls, girls (family portrait perth)

‘Mark is happiest when surrounded by all his gorgeous girls or in this case sat upon by them!! 4 year old twins, Phoebe & Zoe plus 3 year old Sofia made for a happy gathering during their studio portrait. Beautiful smiles and flowing long hair was the order of the day for the Armstrong family portrait. Of course with Mum Sonya also having the blond hair we can definitely see the family resemblance. The Armstrong’s have selected a composite of the 3 girls to hang on their wall along with some smaller gift prints of the family grouping. We look forward to showing you the finished product very shortly. In the meantime enjoy being able to share these wonderful images with your family and friends. Photos for Grandma!

Alana, Ebony, Blake, Cameron and Sienna all came in together to have a photo so that Grandma could have all her grandchildren in one wonderful portrait. The result was this gorgeous bright and happy group photo which is now a framed 20 x 30 inch to be proudly displayed by Grandma. We often have calls for large family group photography where on the rare occasion in this international world that everyone is together the opportunity it taken to come into our studio for a keepsake group photograph. It is usually pandaemonium in the studio when this happens with cousins excited to see each other and adults playing catch up – we LOVE it. It makes for a fun session. We never limit these to just the big group though and break it down into the smaller family groupings as well. There are so many gorgeous photos from this family portrait its hard to know what to showcase. Needless to say Grandma is very happy. There is a suggestion next time we will go on location to allow the children even more room to run off some energy – we will happily be there to capture it!

Heidi Introduces Little Sister Sasha to Photography (Perth)

Three year old Heidi was verycareful to ensure new little sister was well taken care of during their portrait session together. Sasha for her part was very easy going and quite happy to lay on the rug with her sister to have a series of photographs taken. The result was their parents purchased a wall grouping – 3 individual images on canvas designed to hang together. This is a great way to really showcase a child photography session when you have a reasonable size wall you can display them on. We have a whole range of different wall groupings to chose from – even better is that by purchasing a wall grouping you receive a discount ‘stand alone’ prices.

I am certain Heidi will continue to make an excellent big sister and we look forward to having her and Sasha back into our studio down the track.

Ex-Canuck’s Visit (family portrait perth)

Tim came in using the unmistakable accent of a Canadian just before Christmas for a family portrait. Being a former Edmontonian I had to mock Tim and call the Calgary Flames a bunch of little girls. All in good humour of course – mind you us Canadians take our ice hockey pretty seriously. I discovered I had a lot in common with Tim who had made the move to Australia to follow his heart…this sounded very familiar!

His partner Jacqui and children Sebastian and Celeste were a delight to photograph. Sebastian well and truly knew how to work the camera with his cheeky grin and gorgeous blond hair. 20 month old Celeste was happy to be part of the action as well and did a great job sitting on the pink chair. I believe some of these photos were making their way back to Canada for Christmas. I hope they have all been enjoyed by everyone. I look forward to having the Rapaic family back in for more family photographs and I can brush up on my accent in the meantime which has greatly diminished after 17 years as an Aussie!

Caleb’s Flying High

We welcomed the Armstrong family to the studio for a family portrait recently. Jason and Jo-Anne come to us via our association with Bartercard as they have a business called TLC Tree Lopping Services – something that was keeping them very busy after the storms at the end of last year. One year old Caleb had a great time flying through the air with Dad. This particular image was turned into an ice-block which is one of our favourite products to display photographs. He also had his cousin Kory along for the day who was happy to have Caleb crawl all over him. It is always fun doing children photography with happy, active participants. The resulting photos can really reflect their bright personalities. Thanks for being such fun guys and we look forward to seeing you again.

The Underwood Family

Tracey and Greg have been coming to us since Tracey’s pregnancy photography session, and below is Abbey -this is her when only 7 days old, having a snooze on Dad’s guitar. So when they came back with little Blake to update the family portraits, we had to try again! My personal favourite for Blake is the over head image with him in the guitar case!

Bailey Turns One!

Gorgeous little Bailey recently turned one and Mum and Dad wanted to ensure they had a fantastic photographic record of this important milestone. We first saw Bailey when he was 6 months old and a we couldn’t have a more cooperative little guy. In the 6 months since nothing has changed and he smiled and laughed through the entire portrait session. It must have something to do with the fun he always has with Mum and Dad as the photographs below show. Mum and Dad decided to purchase another coffee table book to match the one we created for them in January. These are a great way of showcasing your family photos and make a wonderful talking point for family and friends. I have attached just a few of the pages in the book below. We hope you enjoy them and we look forward to seeing Bailey again down the track.

Furlong Family Portrait

It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were shooting Vanessa in a wedding dress and Ian in his suit! Time flies by and suddenly they are back with four beautiful children. Vanessa you make an amazing Mum looking after these four PLUS running your own business (Hairclip House – check it out). Emma, Cameron, Benjamin and Kate are all so beautiful. Benjamin is a very active little boy at 2 years of age and it took some bribing (OK the lollies came out in the end – even the best photographer has to have this kind of back-up!) to get him to stay in one spot long enough to have a photo with his siblings. Poor Emma was a real trooper with all of them on her back. The result though was a fantastic photo of all of them together. Dad, Ian, took the boys outside on the lawn for a bit of rough ball play to run off some energy so we could concentrate on photographs of new sister, Kate, for a bit. Such a gorgeous little princess to add to this wonderful family.
